The importance of Colour Day depends on its ability to engage children in hands-on learning experiences. When children participate in various colourful activities, such as drawing, crafts painting and sorting objects based on their colours, they are exposed to the concept of Colours, their names, and how they make the world more beautiful.
These activities stimulate their creativity and encourage them to think outside the box, fostering their problem-solving skills, divergent thinking abilities, artistic abilities as well as their fine motor skills.
Another significance of Colour Day is the opportunity it provides our Learners to socialize and collaborate with their peers during group activities and projects centered around colours. Through these activities, they learn the value of teamwork and develop important social skills such as cooperation, sharing and communication thereby creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Additionally, Colour Day enhances sensory learning by allowing children to see, touch, and even taste different colours through various colour- themed snacks or fruits offered during our events. This helps them to associate colours with taste and texture, thereby improving their understanding of the world around them.
Moreover, Colour Day encourages Learners to think critically and explore their personal preferences. When we allow them to choose their favourite colours and engaged them in activities that showcase their creative expression, they develop a sense of ownership and their self-esteem was boosted significantly.
